December 7
On Sunday, December 7, your Betty Brinn Children's Museum membership card is your ticket to:
- Charles Allis Art Museum
- Discovery World
- Grohmann Museum
- Harley-Davidson Museum
- Milwaukee Art Museum
- Milwaukee Public Museum
- Pabst Mansion
- Villa Terrace Art Museum

No registration is required, just show your membership card and photo ID at the admissions desk at each venue to receive your free admission. Only the named adults and the number of children stated on your membership card will be admitted, valid December 7, 2014 only. Please check each museum’s website for hours and visitor information.
Special Events

The third Thursday of every month from 5 - 8 p.m.
Enjoy FREE admission and evening hours on the third Thursday of every month.

Visitors during Neighborhood Night also have the opportunity to participate in special Be A Maker programs. Kids will design and build components for a large-scale 3D collaborative sculpture that will be displayed at BBCM, then construct their own pieces to take home. Mentors from BBCM and Milwaukee Makerspace will introduce tools, materials and techniques for endless ways to experiment and create.

Be A Maker programs during Neighborhood Night are presented by the Brady Corporation Foundation with additional support provided by the Maihaugen Foundation, and by a grant from the Milwaukee Arts Board and the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin.
September 7
On Grandparents Day, grandparents receive FREE admission to the Museum.

The first-ever Maker Faire Milwaukee is a FREE family-friendly celebration of making! This awesome two-day event will feature:
- 150+ makers who will demonstrate 3D printing, lasers, indie crafts, robotics, microcomputers, blacksmithing, alternative energy, textile crafts, electric vehicles, CNC machines, woodworking, pottery and more
- Hands-on activity areas for all ages
- Power Racing Series exhibition races on the Milwaukee Mile
- A Life Size Mousetrap
- The Design and Build Challenge sponsored by GE Healthcare (Saturday, Sept. 27)
- The Nerdy Derby and trebuchet pumpkin launching
- Performances, speakers and presentations
- And so much more!

Maker Faire Milwaukee is co-hosted by the Betty Brinn Children’s Museum and Milwaukee Makerspace, in collaboration with Make Magazine and sponsored by Brady Corporation. Maker Faires are family-friendly events that welcome makers – tech enthusiasts, inventors, crafters, tinkerers and hobbyists of all ages – to exhibit their work and share their knowledge and skills with other makers and with the community.

October 23 – 25
Noon – 4 p.m.

Families are invited to celebrate the fall season with plenty of fun Halloween activities created especially for children. Kids can visit Treat Stops throughout the Museum to to receive goodies (with or without a costume)! The “Slightly Scarier Halloween” program in the Museum’s Be A Maker space will be geared for kids age 7 and older. Free for Museum members and free with regular paid admission for non-members.

Beginning October 6, patrons can receive free admission to the Not-So-Scary Halloween by purchasing select Breadsmith, Kemps and Sargento products from a Sendik’s Food Market - Balistreri Owned & Operated. One admission per product. Please check back for product information.

A Halloween dance & costume party!
October 24
6 - 9 p.m

Little monsters will want to dance the night away at the Museum’s popular annual Little Monster Bash!

Tickets include:
- A light dinner
- Sweet treats
- Trick-or-treating at Treat Stops
- Fall-themed activities and goodies galore

$20 per person
$16 per Museum member
Free for children younger than 1 year.

Tickets will be available starting September 1. You may purchase tickets online, at the Museum or by phone at 414-390-KIDS (5437) ext. 242. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Space is limited for this annual sell-out event.

November 7
10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Little engineers are invited to join Choo Choo Bob and the Holy Smokestacks Revue at a fun-filled live show of songs, sketches and tons of train fun!

Children attending this special performance will receive a free ticket to Trainfest, America’s largest operating model railroad show to be held at Wisconsin State Fair Park on November 8-9, and an entry into the Holy Smokestacks Giveaway. One winner will receive a train set courtesy of Wm. K. Walthers, a Choo Choo Bob prize pack, and a family four-pack of tickets to Trainfest.

Seating is limited. Reservations can be made online at starting September 1 - please check back!

December 31
9 a.m. - noon

Ring in 2015 at the Museum. Kids can create their own confetti launcher in our Be A Maker space, count down to the big ball drop at noon and celebrate with dancing and a juice toast.
