Special Events
THE 2010 BETTY BRINN CHILDREN'S MUSEUM GALA
October 2

The Museum's annual Gala is one of the hottest tickets in town! This black-tie affair is held at the Museum and features a silent auction, gourmet dinner and dancing.

Proceeds from the Gala represent almost 10 percent of the Museum's operating budget and help fund exhibits and programs for visitors, as well as outreach programs that ensure children and adults with special needs or from disadvantaged backgrounds have access to our facility and resources.

If you or your business would like to support this important Museum fundraiser, please consider purchasing individual guest tickets or a table for 10. For information, please call (414) 390-KIDS (5437), ext. 242.
THE PIZZA FACTORY & CAFE EXHIBIT GRAND OPENING EVENT
October 8 at 10:30 a.m.

The Museum’s newest pretend business, The Pizza Factory & Café presented by Palermo’s Pizza, will be part of the fun in our new Home Town exhibit from Oct. 8 through Dec. 31. Children will enjoy a variety of role-play opportunities, including the factory supervisor, a pizza maker in the mini manufacturing line (complete with pretend toppings and an oven!), or a worker in the packaging department. Children will use fun props to match, sort, count, and measure to help make a creation that is healthy and “Pizzeria Perfect®!” The activities help build important math, planning and decision-making skills.

In the café, children can work behind the counter taking orders and running the cash register, or play the role of a customer enjoying their favorite slice at the outdoor bistro table. Please join us for the exhibit grand opening event featuring delicious pizza samples courtesy of Palermo’s Pizza, and special activities that celebrate our new exhibit, including a craft activity, story time and scavenger hunt.
THE ADVENTURES OF MR. POTATO HEAD EXHIBIT GRAND OPENING EVENT
