VALENTINE ICE CREAM SOCIAL PRESENTED BY SENDIK'S FOOD MARKET

Celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Museum with the ones you love! Enjoy fun activities for the entire family at the Valentine Ice Cream Social sponsored by Sendik’s Food Market.

At “Sweet Stops” throughout the Museum, enjoy a Breadsmith treat, Golden Guernsey Dairy milk, a slice of Palermo’s pizza and a Sargento snack along with fun activities, games and prizes. To top it all off, build your own delicious sundae using Cedar Crest Ice Cream. All activities are free with regular admission!

KOHL'S HEALTHY KIDS: IT'S YOUR MOVE! EXHIBIT GRAND OPENING EVENT

Join us for the grand opening of our all-new health-related exhibit, where kids can jump into a giant interactive game and play their way to a healthy lifestyle! The new feature exhibit is brought to you by Kohl's Department Stores and developed in partnership with Children’s Hospital and Health System.

Join us on February 27 for the opening followed by a variety of fun health-related activities, workshops and entertainment for the entire family:

Kohl’s Healthy Kids: Meet the Experts
11:15 a.m.
Join Children’s Health Education Center staff as they teach children healthy habits through an engaging story. During the story children will move their bodies like animals, learn the importance of bike helmets, focus on the effect of “go” and “whoa” foods on their bodies, and learn to fight germs through hand washing and teeth brushing. Ages 3 – 12.

The Figureheads presented by Milwaukee Public Television
Noon
Milwaukee Public Television presents The Figureheads – Greg Marshall, Jeremy Bryan and Dave Olson – at the Museum. Don’t miss their original hip-hop musical performance, which has won numerous awards for its inspirational and positive messages. This fun show is sure to get kids moving and complements MPTV’S Healthy Kids, Healthy Communities, a new and important initiative to reverse the troubling trend of childhood obesity. In March, look for MPTV’s children’s programming dedicated to healthy messages, and visit their Web site www.mptv.org for local resources and information about keeping your family healthy.

Nonstop Hip Hop with Danceworks
1 p.m.
Learn some cool new hip-hop moves with staff from Danceworks while getting some great exercise. This fun and funky workshop is just what you need to get your heart rate up and your “boogie down.” Rated E for everyone!

Kids in the Kitchen
1:30 p.m.
Join Darlyne Haertlein from Milwaukee Public Television to create kid-friendly, healthy snacks and learn healthy cooking habits.

Kohl’s Healthy Kids: It’s How You Play the Game!
2:15 p.m.
Children will learn the importance of staying safe and maintaining a healthy lifestyle as they join a team and work together. Join Museum staff to play games with exciting questions and active challenges that highlight good nutrition, safety rules and gear, personal care routines, and the need to stay active and physically fit by making good choices. Ages 3 – 12.

FAMILY FIREWORKS - A MEMBERS-ONLY EVENT

Enjoy the best seat on Milwaukee's lakefront for the US Bank fireworks with a ticket to this fun-filled sparkler of an event! Tickets include dinner, beverages and activities for the whole family.

LITTLE MONSTER BASH - A HALLOWEEN DANCE AND COSTUME PARTY

Families will enjoy dancing, treats and fun workshops at our annual costume party fundraiser, the Little Monster Bash! The event features a DJ and dancing, kids' costume parade, trick-or-treating in the Museum, family-friendly activities, lots of treats and much more!

WATERSTONE BANK & FOX 6 NEIGHBORHOOD NIGHT

The third Thursday of every month, 5 - 8 p.m.

Once a month, the Museum offers a FREE evening of play, courtesy of Waterstone Bank and FOX 6! Enjoy free admission and a variety of special activities.
