Music Makers
September 3 at 10 a.m.
Sing, listen, play rhythm instruments and move to music with staff from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Children develop motor, listening and sequencing skills as well as learn to take turns, share, concentrate and develop an appreciation for music. Ages 2 - 5.
Open Art Studio
September 3, October 22, November 5, December 3 at 2 p.m.
Experiment with the process and fun of creating art! Try different art techniques including watercolors, pastels, clay, beads and more. Making a mess is part of the fun; please wear appropriate clothing.

Children will enjoy money-related stories and games, practice making financial choices and use play money to purchase a light snack. Parents learn how to develop their childs financial vocabulary, establish good financial habits early on, and encourage thinking about earning, saving and philanthropy. Age 4 and older.
African Dance
September 9, October 21, November 11 and December 9 at 11:30 a.m.
Bring on the beat and move your feet! Join Museum staff and learn a few basic African dance movements and cultural facts in the Museums Dance Studio. Kids will learn the importance of trying new things and practicing an active lifestyle. Age 2 and older.
Kohls Healthy Kids: Meet the Experts
September 10 & 24, October 1 & 15, November 12 & 19 and December 3 & 17 at 11:30 a.m.
Join Childrens Health Education Center staff as they teach children healthy habits through an engaging story. During the story children will move their bodies like animals, learn the importance of bike helmets, focus on the effect of go and whoa foods on their bodies, and learn to fight germs through hand washing and teeth brushing. Ages 3 12.
Grandparents Day
September 12
Celebrate Grandparents Day! Grandparents receive FREE admission to the Museum. Children can create cards and decorative magnets for the special people in their lives.
Earth Matters!
September 14, October 5 and November 30 at 10:30 a.m.
Children will learn about earth systems and everyday earth-friendly actions through stories and games. Meet a friendly mystery creature, handle natural materials, and make a recycled craft to take home. Age 3 and older.
Puppet Play
September 14, October 5, November 30 and December 14 at 11:30 a.m.
Young children develop social skills by participating in interactive stories, songs and puppet shows. Adults learn how to use these activities to stimulate language development.

Learn the importance of staying safe and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Join a team and work together to play games with exciting questions and active challenges that highlight good nutrition, safety rules and gear, personal care routines, and the need to stay active and physically fit by making good choices. Music and Me
September 21, October 19, November 16 and December 21 at 10:30 a.m.
Play rhythm instruments, listen to a variety of music, sing new and familiar songs and move to a musical beat. Explore basic musical concepts and find out the benefits of music for children in this interactive program. Age 5 and younger.
Betty's Broadway

Children will rehearse and perform a short theatrical scene for parents and peers! Using costumes, props and scripts, children learn stage terms while developing creativity, imagination and literacy skills through performance. Age 4 and older.

Reading can take you anywhere! Travel with MR. POTATO HEAD to outer space, under the sea, on a safari, and on an archaeological dig during a special reading time where the story comes to life through fun props and group interaction. Play instruments, chant rhythms and move to music during this 45-minute class with Naomi Bodine, a teacher trained in the Music Together® program.
