Monkeying Around
Fridays at 2 p.m.
Age 3 and older
Explore the wonders of design and engineering. Children will plan, build and construct their own curious creations. (Keep an eye out for Curious George - he'll be swinging by to inspect structures!)
Money Minders

May 2 and June 6 at 11:30 a.m.
April 25, May 30 and June 27 at 3 p.m.
Age 4 and older
Children will listen to related stories, play games that teach them about money, practice making financial choices and use play money to “purchase” a light snack. Parents learn how to develop their child’s financial vocabulary, establish good financial habits early on, and encourage thinking about earning, saving and philanthropy.
Magnificent Performing Strings
May 10 at 2:30 p.m.
Age 3 and older
Enjoy the sounds of the Magnificent Performing Strings, a youth orchestra, during this 45-minute musical program. The group is comprised of talented Milwaukee area student musicians from first through eighth grade.
Mother’s Day - FREE admission for moms!
May 11
On Mother’s Day, moms receive FREE admission to the Museum. Children can create a paper bouquet and gift for a special someone in their life.

Families will enjoy an evening with free admission. Attend the following free workshops with fun, learning and a light snack:

6 p.m.: Money Minders sponsored by Wauwatosa Savings Bank
Age 4 and older
Children will enjoy money-related stories and games, practice making financial choices and use play money to “purchase” a light snack. Parents learn how to develop their child’s financial vocabulary, establish good financial habits early on, and encourage thinking about earning, saving and philanthropy.

6:30 p.m.: Nutrition, Exercise and Healthy Development!
Join a physician from Wheaton Franciscan Fox Point Clinic for a discussion about the new food pyramid and the importance of physical activity for a child’s growth. A nutritious snack will be served.
Last Day of Curious George!
June 1
This is your last chance to go bananas over this fun, interactive, math and engineering-based adventure with the popular storybook character Curious George. Explore the wonders of design as children plan, build and construct their own unique creations at the last Monkeying Around! workshop at 2 p.m. Keep an eye out for Curious George – he’ll be swinging by to inspect the structures!
ABC Garden Event

Help us plant the ABC Garden!
June 13 from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Little green thumbs and their grown-ups are invited to a fun-filled evening of planting the Museum’s ABC Garden, sponsored by Garden Room! Join us outdoors on the balconies for this event, where we’ll fill the Museum’s whimsical garden boxes with flowers and plants that begin with each letter of the alphabet - from Azaleas to Zinnias. Kids will “dig” gardening programs, crafts, a special story and more! Light refreshments will be provided for the growing bunch.

Tickets are $5 per Museum member and $7 for non-members, children younger than 1 year are free. Tickets are available by calling (414) 390-KIDS (5437), ext. 240.

Flag Day
June 14 at 2 p.m.
Age 3 and older
Enjoy stories about the American flag, learn the meaning behind the stars and stripes, and design a flag to celebrate the day.
Father’s Day - FREE admission for dads!
June 15
On Father’s Day, fathers receive FREE admission to the Museum. Children can create coin catchers and cards for that special someone in their life.

Help add greenery to the Museum’s ABC Garden from 6 - 7:30 p.m., and enjoy a story time at 7 p.m. in the growing garden (weather permitting).
Welcome Sunny Summer Days!
June 20 from 12 – 2 p.m.
All ages
Bring a pair of sunglasses and some sunscreen for an afternoon of outdoor play on the first day of summer (weather permitting). Welcome the new season on our South Balcony and squirt water, blow bubbles, sketch with sidewalk chalk and paint, sort seashells, and cool off with a cold drink of lemonade.
Garden Tales and Tea Time sponsored by Garden Room
Thursdays at 2 p.m. beginning June 26
Age 2 and older
Read stories, play garden games and create a garden art souvenir. Then relax and enjoy tea time in the ABC Garden with tea, juice, crackers and cookies (weather permitting).
