Ages 2 - 5. Play instruments to explore sounds, try musical storytelling to foster language skills, and move to musical beats to develop coordination in this interactive program that highlights musical concepts that promote development.

Create art based on African-American artists all month in the Artists Studio
Jump into an African Dance class in the Dance Studio on February 3 & 17 at 11:30 a.m.
Try traditional games and songs with African-American roots February 8 at 2 p.m.
Enjoy an interactive story time celebrating important contributions from well-known African Americans on February 21 at 2 p.m.
African Dance

Age 2 and older. Bring on the beat and move your feet! Join Museum staff and learn a few basic African dance movements and cultural facts in the Museums Dance Studio. Kids will learn the importance of trying new things and practicing an active lifestyle.

February 6 & 27, March 12 & 26, and April 2 & 30 at 1 p.m.
Age 4 and older. Children will enjoy money-related stories and games, practice making financial choices and use play money. Parents learn how to develop their childs financial vocabulary, establish good financial habits early on, and encourage thinking about earning, saving, spending and philanthropy.
Open Art Studio
February 7 and April 3 at 11:30 a.m.
Experiment with the process and fun of creating art! Try different art techniques including watercolors, pastels, clay, beads and more.
Story Time Yoga
February 7 & 21, March 6 & 20, and April 3 & 17 at 10:30 a.m.
Get moving with Minda Devorkin, local author and youth yoga teacher! Children experience different ways to move their bodies and use their minds when they share fun and playful stories while learning yoga. Space is limited and participation is on a first-come, first-served basis for general visitors. Please sign up at the Information Desk on the day of the program.
Music Makers
February 10 at 11 a.m.
Ages 2 - 5. Sing, listen, play rhythm instruments and move to music with staff from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music. Children develop motor, listening and sequencing skills as well as learn to take turns, share, concentrate and develop an appreciation for music.
Valentines Day

Celebrate the special people in your life! Create a paper valentine in the Artists Studio and join in a story time at 2 p.m. about caring, sharing and friendship.

Age 3 and older. Sneak a peek at Milwaukee Youth Theatres version of the wonderful world of Oz and be swept away to a magical land and visit with Dorothy, Toto, the Lion, Tin Woodsman, Scarecrow, Glenda the Good Witch and, of course, the Wizard.
Healthy Moves, Healthy Meals
February 27, March 12, and April 23 at 11:30 a.m.
Learn about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Play games with active challenges that highlight good nutrition, safety rules and gear, personal care routines, and the need to stay active and physically fit by making good choices.
Puppet Play
March 6 at 11:30 a.m.
Young children develop social skills by participating in interactive stories, songs and puppet shows. Adults learn how to use these activities to stimulate language development.
Bettys Broadway

Trinity Academy of Irish Dance

Milwaukee Childrens Choir

Age 3 and older. The Prelude Choir, the youngest voices in the Milwaukee Childrens Choir, will sing a variety of playful childrens choral music and traditional folk songs.

Diary of a Worm, a Spider and a Fly

Join Worm, Spider, and Fly as they explore the life of a young bug through Story Drama with First Stage! Children will imagine, enact, and reflect through dramatic play that emphasizes life skills through stage skills. Use your body, voice, and imagination to have a squiggly, squirmy, slimy, germy good time!

Early Earth Day!

Create a mini-sculpture from recycled materials throughout the day in the Artists Studio, and enjoy an interactive environment-themed story time at 10:30 a.m. Join us at 1 p.m. for Milwaukee Films special Earth Day showing of Mia and the Migoo, an animated film with an eco-friendly message that screened last fall as part of the Milwaukee Childrens Film Festival.
Peter Pan

Peter, Tinkerbell and the Darling children soar to Neverland for escapades with the Lost Boys, Tiger Lily and the infamous Captain Hook. Join the Milwaukee Ballet for a sneak peek at this classic childrens tale and join the adventure.
