BIG LEAGUE FUN NIGHT

Come explore our special Big League Fun exhibit and celebrate the all-American game with an evening filled with stadium-style snacks, guest appearances by Hank the Ballpark Pup and the Famous Racing Sausages, a commemorative family photo, and souvenirs for the kids (including the newest edition of the Hank, the Ballpark Pup book!). MAKER FAIRE® MILWAUKEE

Maker Faire Milwaukee is a free, family-friendly event that welcomes makers – tech enthusiasts, inventors, crafters, educators, tinkers and hobbyists of all ages – to exhibit their work and share their knowledge and skills with the community and other makers. The event is co-hosted by the Betty Brinn Children’s Musuem and Milwaukee Makerspace, and is locally organized and operated under a license from Make Media, Inc. Held at Wisconsin State Fair Park on the same weekend as Harvest Fair, Maker Faire Milwaukee aims to inspire, inform, connect and grow this community in the spirit of education, community improvement and economic and workforce development. The Gala is the Museum’s most important annual fundraiser. Proceeds from this adults-only event support the Museum’s educational mission, including free parenting education, admission, membership, field trips, transportation assistance programs, outreach, and events that benefit more than 80,000 children and adults each year. Celebrate the fall season with plenty of Halloween fun created especially for young children at the Museum’s popular Not-So-Scary Halloween, presented by Sendik’s Food Markets. MakeShift is an adults-only event series hosted in the Museum’s Be A Maker space. Join us to learn new skills, experiment with tools and technology, and meet creative people. COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE
Attend a Making In Education Community of Practice (COP) for hands-on demonstrations and instructional workshops that focus on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math) and the maker movement. Meetings will also serve as an opportunity for members to share resources, information and professional development opportunities.
