Admission
$7.50 for adults and children age 1 and older
$6.50 for seniors (age 55 and older)
FREE for children younger than 1 year
All children must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older).

Follow I-94 or I-43 downtown to I-794 east. Exit at LAKEFRONT (exit 1F). Go west on Michigan Street for access to parking garage.

Located in O'Donnell Park.

Parking
Milwaukee County’s O’Donnell Park garage, adjacent to the Museum, is now open! Entrances are on Michigan Street and Lincoln Memorial Drive. Museum visitors will receive a $2 parking discount, and Museum members can park for a flat rate of $3. Vouchers are distributed when checking in at the front desk. Museum visitors may also park at:
  • The US Bank parking garage (one block west of the Museum accessible at Michigan St. and Cass St., or off Clybourn St.). All Museum visitors receive $3 parking for up to 4 hours and may purchase a pass when checking in at the Museum.
  • Impark garage, (875 E. Michigan St., next door to the Museum), available Saturday and Sunday only for $5.
  • Metered street parking or other area parking garages.
Please note that that during the busy festival season, parking rates may increase in area lots and flat fees will be pre-collected.

Food and Snacks:
The Museum offers a variety of Alterra goods for lunch and snack time, including wraps and salads, muffins, cookies and yogurt parfaits. The Museum also sells Alterra coffee, and there is a beverage machine available featuring water, juice, soda and lemonade.

You may also bring your own food and beverages, which can be stored in a locker during your visit. Food can be enjoyed in Picnic Place, located in the Miller Brewing Company Pavilion atrium on the first-floor level, and outside on the Museum's balconies and in O'Donnell Park. No food or beverages are allowed within exhibit areas.

Lockers
Lockers are available for rent with a returnable deposit of $5 or a driver's license. Museum staff assigns lockers to guests at the Information Desk.

Gift Shop
Whether it's a birthday, holiday or baby shower, the Museum's gift shop is sure to meet your needs, with unique and fun educational gifts for children. The shop offers educational and seasonal toys, books, puzzles, games, and craft kits; and specializes in stimulating toys for infants and toddlers. All items are carefully chosen to meet the developmental needs of children age 10 and younger.

Museum gift certificates are also available in any denomination and can be purchased at the Museum's Information Desk, or with a credit card by calling (414)390-KIDS(5437). Gift certificates can be used toward Museum admission, memberships or gift shop purchases. Or, give the gift of play! Museum memberships provide an entire year of hands-on, educational fun!
