$8.00 for adults and children age 1 and older

FREE for children younger than 1 year
Children must be accompanied by an adult (18 years or older) at all times during the visit. All adults must be accompanied by a child.

FROM THE WEST
Take I-94 east and merge onto I-794 east. Exit at James Lovell Street/St. Paul Avenue (exit 1H). Stay to the left at the fork to merge onto James Lovell Street. Turn right onto Michigan St. and go east for approximately one mile. The Museum will be on your left.

FROM THE NORTH
Take I-43 south and merge onto I-794 East. Exit at Plankinton Ave. (exit 1D). Turn right onto Michigan St. and go east for approximately half a mile. The Museum will be on your left.

FROM THE SOUTH
Take I-43 north and merge onto I-794 East. Exit at Plankinton Ave. (exit 1D). Turn right onto Michigan St. and go east for approximately half a mile. The Museum will be on your left.

FROM THE AIRPORT (South Side)
Take I-794 north and exit at Lincoln Memorial Drive. Turn left onto Michigan St. The Museum will be on your immediate right.

PARKING
There are plenty of parking options available to our visitors!

  • Milwaukee County's O'Donnell Park garage is adjacent to our facility and visitors may access the Museum via elevator or stairs. Entrances are on Michigan Street and Lincoln Memorial Drive.
    • $2 discount available to Museum visitors (voucher distributed at the check-in)
    • $3 flat-rate parking available to Museum Members (vouchers may be purchased at check-in or at any time)
  • US Bank parking garage is one block west of the Museum, accessible at the intersection of Michigan Street and Cass Street, or off Clybourn Street.
    • $3 for up to 4 hours for all Museum visitors (purchase voucher when checking in at the Museum)
  • Metered street spaces are available on several streets in the area. Meters are free on Sundays.
  • Impark garage, located next door to the Museum at 875 E. Michigan Street, is available Saturday and Sunday only. Discounts on parking in this garage are not available.


FOOD AND SNACKS

Coast Cafe, open Tuesday-Saturday, 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Coast Café offers a delicious, family-friendly menu! Choose from a variety of hot and cold a la carte items, including sandwiches, pizzas, hot dogs, soup, salads, and healthy, kid-friendly items.

Coast Café is open Tuesday – Saturday in the first-floor Miller Pavilion Atrium, adjacent to Picnic Place. On the Museum level, a beverage machine is available, as is a small selection of snacks and ice cream. You are also welcome to bring your own food and beverages, and lockers are available for storage.

No food or beverages are allowed within exhibit areas. Food can be enjoyed in Picnic Place, outdoors on the Museum's balconies or in O'Donnell Park.

LOCKERS
Free lockers are available first-come, first served with a returnable deposit of $5 or a driver’s license. Museum staff assigns lockers to guests at the Information Desk.

GIFT SHOP
Whether it's a birthday, holiday or baby shower, the Museum's gift shop is sure to meet your needs, with unique and fun educational gifts for children. The shop offers educational and seasonal toys, books, puzzles, games, and craft kits; and specializes in stimulating toys for infants and toddlers. All items are carefully chosen to meet the developmental needs of children age 10 and younger.

Museum gift certificates are also available in any denomination and can be purchased at the Museum's Information Desk, or with a credit card by calling (414)390-KIDS(5437). Gift certificates can be used toward Museum admission, memberships or gift shop purchases. Or, give the gift of play! Museum memberships provide an entire year of hands-on, educational fun! FACILITY RENTALS
The Museum is located on the second floor of Milwaukee County’s Miller Brewing Company Pavilion. The Museum does NOT have banquet, conference or meeting space available. The Miller Room, located on the first floor of the same building that holds the Museum, is a banquet hall appropriate for wedding receptions, corporate dinners and other major events. It is owned by Milwaukee County and rentals are coordinated by Zilli Hospitality Group. If you are interested in renting the Miller Room, please click here.
Group Tours
Plan your field trip to the BBCM! School groups, community groups, day cares, etc. are welcome. Contact our Education Coordinator at 390-KIDS (5437), ext. 272 for more information.
