Parking
Although Milwaukee County’s O’Donnell Park garage is closed until further notice, Museum visitors may park at the US Bank parking garage (accessible off Michigan St. and Cass St., or Clybourn St.) at a discounted rate. When checking in at the Museum, purchase your pass to exit the US Bank garage for a flat rate of $3 (4-hour limit). These passes are not valid on days when the structure pre-collects parking fees (during select festivals and special lakefront events).
There are also other area parking garages and surface lots available, as well as metered street parking.
Museum members: If you have pre-purchased any O’Donnell Park garage passes, they may be exchanged at the Information Desk for US Bank garage passes.
Please call the Museum with any parking questions at 414-390-KIDS (5437).
Food and Snacks: The Museum offers a variety of Alterra goods for lunch and snack time, including wraps and salads, muffins, cookies and yogurt parfaits. The Museum also sells Alterra coffee, and there is a beverage machine available featuring water, juice, soda and lemonade.
You may also bring your own food and beverages, which can be stored in a locker during your visit. Food can be enjoyed in Picnic Place, located in the Miller Brewing Company Pavilion atrium on the first-floor level, and outside on the Museum's balconies and in O'Donnell Park. No food or beverages are allowed within exhibit areas.
Lockers
Lockers are available for rent with a returnable deposit of $5 or a driver's license. Museum staff assigns lockers to guests at the Information Desk.
Gift Shop
Whether it's a birthday, holiday or baby shower, the Museum's gift shop is sure to meet your needs, with unique and fun educational gifts for children. The shop offers educational and seasonal toys, books, puzzles, games, and craft kits; and specializes in stimulating toys for infants and toddlers. All items are carefully chosen to meet the developmental needs of children age 10 and younger.
Museum gift certificates are also available in any denomination and can be purchased at the Museum's Information Desk, or with a credit card by calling (414)390-KIDS(5437). Gift certificates can be used toward Museum admission, memberships or gift shop purchases. Or, give the gift of play! Museum memberships provide an entire year of hands-on, educational fun!
