Let’s Play Railway!™
Kids can enjoy a pretend ride on Let’s Play Railway!™ Activities in the exhibit’s engine and caboose promote early math and literacy and encourage children to solve problems and interact with others as they communicate, share and take turns.
Hands-on learning:
- Climb in the engine cab to operate levers, dials, cranks and buttons that trigger realistic sound effects and create music on the cow catcher xylophone
- Operate the kid-powered crankshaft with moving pistons, and solve puzzles in the wheels of the cars
- Take a turn in the roly-poly wheel and guide golf balls down a pretend track from station to station in the caboose
- Enjoy play tables with open-ended train building sets and read train-themed stories in the book nook
